Rory Girvan is a British stage and screen actor from the north of England.
He trained with the National Youth Theatre, performing in a number of productions including Outright Terror Bold and Brilliant (2005) – directed by former artistic director John Hoggarth – and Tits / Teeth (2009) – which was written by Olivier award-winning playwright Michael Wynne. Both productions were performed at the Soho Theatre to critical acclaim. Rory has played a number of diverse roles and past credits include characters of Asian, British and mixed race ethnicity from a range of backgrounds.
He also performed in Simon Stephen’s Herons (2010) in a highly acclaimed production directed by Clive Judd at the Library Theatre in Manchester, as well as A Girl In A Car With A Man (2009) – directed by Rob Drummer – at the Contact Theatre, Manchester.
He has also turned his attention to screen acting and has a number of credits including Ticket (directed by Bizhan M. Tong), My Lad (directed by Sami Khan) and appears in the film adaptation of Daniel Clay’s book Broken starring Tim Roth and Cillian Murphy and directed by Rufus Norris.
More recently Rory has just finished filming Stella a ten-part Comedy Drama for Sky, written by and starring Ruth Jones, where he plays series regular Sunil.
